Fast casual dining is set to get even bigger in London this year, with the opening of the largest Food hall in the UK, slated to open at the end of summer 2019.
Market Hall West End will feature 12 restaurants, four bars and stalls selling produce, along with event spaces and a demo kitchen and 800 covers in central London.
Located in a redundant department store building just of Oxford street, the new development will be an enticing retreat for shoppers and millennials on the busiest shopping street in the world. A large retractable roof will also make it an accessible summertime spot for cocktails on the roof.
The project is headed up by CEO Andy Lewis-Pratt, a philanthropist and former property developer and restaurateur Simon Anderson from food joint Pitt Cue Co, who explained: “The markets will have something for everyone and quality will be key. “All under one roof, you’ll be able to find as good a curry, pizza and vegan burger as you can anywhere in London.”
For those worried about sustainability and throwaway cutlery and tableware, fear not – plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery will all be “proper” removing that street food throwaway feeling.
