Need Liege waffles in a hurry? I got you! This Liege Waffles Recipe Hack is the perfect shortcut recipe to make an extra special breakfast (or treat) when you don’t have time to make the dough from scratch.

This post has been sponsored by Rhodes Rolls. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

You’ll Need:

  • 16 Rhodes Bake-N-Serv® Dinner Rolls
  • Pearl Sugar
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • Waffle Iron (I highly recommend one with removable plates)

Directions:

1. Let the rolls thaw and rise.

I think the easiest way to do this (in terms of making this a “quick” recipe) is to let these thaw and rise in the fridge overnight. Rhodes has instructions for this on their packaging, so just check it out before you start!

2. Create “layers” of sugar within the dough.

This step isn’t hard to do, but it’s hard to put into words. So I took step-by-step photos and made a video, so there’s no way you can mess it up! Check it all out below…

3. Cook them in the waffle iron.

A few things to talk about here:

  • If you have the time to give them a second rise before cooking, go ahead and let them rise. It just gives them a softer texture at room temperature and for leftovers. But if you don’t have time for that, it’s ok! As long as you eat them fresh from the waffle iron, they are perfectly soft and fluffy (just remember that they don’t make great leftovers without that second rise).
  • Spray the waffle iron generously with the cooking spray.
  • My took about 3 minutes and 30 seconds to cook at a medium high temperature. Your time may vary based on your waffle iron.

4. Add toppings and eat them while they are fresh and warm!
